wave cycle [final] - Sound workshop
Aaaand i'm finally done with my wave cycle animation, took awhile (honestly it was my fault because i kept saving it as an avi file which ended up giving me a 4GB file that wouldn't even open) if only i weren't so stubborn and saved it as a mov file i would have saved myself some time, smh
Anyhow, here is my final piece on the wave cycle animation i started with elroy couple weeks back, its not exactly what Elroy gave us but it follows the same principle( a chap trying to walk on unstable ground) i also added in a little music so its not too boring, i mean no one's gonna be excited looking at a guy falling over and over again unless there's some background music to help you relate with the film.

Experiments
This one right here was done out of me trying to experiment with pencil colours. Not really a big fan of them but I figure as an artist you should try your hands on everything
This on the other hand is quite encouraging because I've always hated painting, but on this day I found myself in pound land and acrylic was right in front of me so I said "why not"
Bought it and I didn't wanna go overboard so I went for something simple like grapes and it didn't turn out so bad. (By the way, The black to the right was supposed to be my signature till I smudged it)
Charcoal
Also used charcoal for the eye as well. Can't really tell because of the filter though. The second drawing I did just because I had a little free time on my hands, don't really like how he's looking and the nose is a little off but oh well
Drawings I did with a little after effects blending
I'm quite happy with this one because I made sure I didn't reference anything from anywhere. So everything you see above is straight from my head
I did the drawing in sketchbook pro and edited them in after effects by blending in some backgrounds which gives the shine to the wings.
Also my Instagram ID is there and twitter handle so go follow me on there.

More charcoal drawings - Drawing class
So in this first drawing from my Friday drawing class, we did a mix of compressed charcoal and basic charcoal sticks
With this piece, we had to push against the darker areas harder than we'd usually do to get the charcoal to really blend and show tonal variation. We had a model in who did different poses and in this one we have her lying on the bed. This was the view I drew from.
In this second piece(this was actually the first drawing we began with) we had the model do different poses within the room. Though we were not aware at the time, the model was actually telling a story through her actions and positions within the space.
As you can see, she starts off in a sleeping position and ends up on the couch in the last scene and a new set of legs appear, suggesting that someone else has entered the room. Also in the last three frames, we did a bit of a reverse.
In the room, for the last three frames we would darken the lighter bits and leave the darker bits light. I'll leave you to look at the two pictures now. See you next post
